Received the Certificate of Approval from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (for bending of pressure pipe using high-frequency induction heating)
Started Induction heating stress improvement (IHSI) system for nuclear power plants

Received the Certificate of Approval from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for pipe coating and pipe construction

Installed high frequency small-radius bending machine for large-diameter heavy-wall pipes (HPB-30)

Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) mark indication was granted for high-frequency quenching and tempering of steel pipes

Nogata Works established

MJ ENG Engineering Co., Ltd. (MEC), a joint venture with a Korean company established

Completed prefabrication shop at ChibaWorks

Started the polyethylene powder inner lining for tanks

Received Achievement Award from Japanese Society of Steel Construction for steel structures using wall-thickened steel columns and one-side bolts

Received Land Technological Development Award from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for steel reinforcement end fixtures (assembly method using T-head construction method bars)
